Our Core Values

Our Story

"Believe in the impossible and don't limit yourself" speaks to the heart of visionary, Brian Simmons. After ten years teaching general music, band, and chorus classes in public schools, Brian set his sights on changing the way people experience learning music.  Together with his wife Nicole, they spent a year and a half of praying, researching, and planning to open a music school with a focus on providing quality education. They met businesswoman and music educator, Rosalind Thrift, based in Sydney, Australia, who introduced them to her curriculum and system of teaching. It was a perfect opportunity.

In 2008, Music Schools International, Peachtree City in Fayette County, opened its doors and became the first U.S. based independent affiliate to join the ISM/MSI Network of over 30 schools.

Since then, Music Schools International has expanded to offer a variety of music classes, camps, and workshops. The future is bright as we continue to evolve in providing quality music education for children, teens, and adults in a fun, progressive, and unpressured way.

We make learning fun and exciting, so students can see and feel how life-changing it can be.

We are dedicated to developing a strong knowledge base because it helps students excel.

We emphasize progression through consistency of practice, to help students stay motivated and excited about learning.

We help our students stay committed in their musical journey.

We focus on this intangible yet powerful quality with each student because it is the foundation to learning new things.
