Ensembles
We offer several ensembles where students will learn to work, play, and communicate in a group setting. Learners will explore the nuance of music communications, dynamics, phrasing, and further develop their musicianship skills. All ensembles are aimed at helping the student combine their creative ideas and technical skills with awareness and sensitivity to music making. Intermediate, and advanced students will develop excellent musicianship skills with committed instructors who care about their progress.
Appassionato Vocal Ensemble
Students in this ensemble will develop their vocal technique and musicianship skills through the study and performance of songs in various styles.

String Ensemble
Students in this ensemble will develop their technique, and musicianship skills, as well as their ability to play in an ensemble.

String Quartet
Students in this ensemble will develop their technique and musicianship skills, as they learn to play together and communicate with other musicians.

Jazz Messengers Ensemble
The Youth Jazz Messengers will learn to apply their instrumental and vocal skills in an ensemble setting, learning the jazz idiom through improvisation, aural skills, and creative interpretation of America's own art form. Students will learn to play different jazz styles from swing to shuffle to funk to latin to ballad, exploring and understanding how to create and recreate. Our Jazz Messengers will have fun making music together, no matter which instrument they play!

Funk Band Ensemble
Students in this ensemble will develop their technique and musicianship through playing songs from the Funk genre. As they do so, they will learn to communicate with other musicians, hone their creative ideas, and strengthen their ability to play with other musicians.

Modern Jazz Ensemble
Students in the Modern Jazz Ensemble will develop their technique and musicianship skills, as they play songs from the modern Jazz genre. As they do so, they will learn to communicate with other musicians, hone their creativity through improvisation, and develop their ability to play with other musicians.

Students in our Big Band Ensemble will develop technique and musicianship skills, as they learn to play together in the style of Big Band. As they learn to swing, and improvise, they will improve their aural skills as well as their ability to communicate and work with other musicians.
